According to the results of the first round of the grant competition announced within the framework of the “Locally-led Action for the Development of the Goris Community” project, nine non-governmental organizations from the Goris community and three initiative teams will implement various projects to support the development of the Goris community.

Annual Forum Highlights First-Year Achievements of the “Locally-led Action for Development of Goris Community” Project

The first year of the “Locally-led Action for Development of Goris Community” project was summarized at the annual forum held on May 22. This event, attended by representatives from various sectors of the consolidated Goris community, highlighted the initiatives and results achieved thus far.

“Young People as Partners, Not Beneficiaries”

During the “Participatory Democracy, Civil Society, and Community Activism” workshop, participants received foundational knowledge about democracy, good governance, and the mechanisms and principles of citizen participation in local self-government. Experienced trainers guided the attendees through strategies for identifying and solving civic problems, underscoring the importance of civic activism and presenting examples of successful campaigns.

Mapping Community Resources in Progress

“Goris Press Club” NGO is carrying out resource mapping initiative in the Goris community, actively involving young participants. The aims is not only identify prevalent challenges and needs but also to discern opportunities and developmental essential for community advancement.

Advancing Community Development Through Education

A comprehensive three-day workshop titled “The Role of Education in the Development of the Goris Community” convened in Jermuk, focusing on the strategic organization of education across various sectors within the framework of Goris community’s human resource development plan.
