Announcement of the Formation of the Advisory Body
Within the framework of the “Local Self-Government for the Development of the Goris Community” project, “Goris Press Club”/GPC/ NGO is forming a consultative body to increase the effectiveness of the project through the involvement of community members. We invite the residents of the extended Goris community to apply to join this initiative.
The established advisory body will actively cooperate with the GPC during the implementation of the three-year plan. The purpose is to bring together the stakeholders of all settlements of the Goris consolidated to participate in the development and implementation processes of a number of program initiatives. This advisory body will participate in discussions about the community’s priorities, possible solutions and methods, as well as to bring attention to the current problems and developments of the settlements across the consolidated community.
The selection of the advisory body will be made on the basis of applications, taking into account the following criteria:
- Interest in the development of the Goris consolidated community
- Understanding community issues
- Innovative or constructive approaches to the formation of possible solutions
- Willingness to work with community members of different genders, professions, and ages
- Availability of time, collaborative skills and other resources during project implementation

The goal of Locally-led Action for Development of Goris Community project is to increase the capacity and resilience of the Goris consolidated community via strengthening the capacity and commitment of the community to lead its development and enhance citizen engagement and oversight in the decision-making process.
