Discussions with community representatives
On May 25th, a meeting took place at “Goris Press Club” office, bringing together representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating within Syunik region.
The meeting opened with the GPC team presenting the “Locally-led Action for Development of Goris Community” Project. This comprehensive initiative outlined the planned scope of works and upcoming tasks aimed at fostering the community’s growth and well-being. Following this informative presentation, representatives from each participating NGO took the opportunity to share details about their ongoing projects and contributions to the community, region.
The discussion proved particularly valuable, with open dialogue exploring the challenges and needs faced by civil society organizations. Participants identified key areas requiring additional support and resources, and collectively brainstormed potential avenues for collaboration. This collaborative spirit highlighted the immense potential for joint efforts between GPC and local NGOs in propelling the development of Goris and the entire Syunik marz.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with renewed commitment to continued collaboration and communication. This productive exchange underscored the significant role that NGOs play in strengthening communities and paving the way for a more prosperous future for Goris and its residents.
